Update your credit reports when you want

If you subscribe to our Multi Agency Credit Reports you can now choose exactly when to update your credit report by using an update button which appears when you log in to checkmyfile.

Until now, credit reports for subscribers were refreshed automatically when you log in, if the previous credit report was more than 31 days old. If you don’t log in, we automatically obtain a new report for you every 3 months.

For those customers who are waiting for an error to be corrected, or for a Notice of Correction to appear on a specific agency credit report, or for an adverse credit or fraud entry to expire, the exact timing of the ‘refresh’ is crucial. The new update button will enable you to get a new credit report precisely when you want it, as long as your last report is more than 31 days old.

We’ll still refresh your credit report automatically every 3 months if you don’t log in and refresh your credit reports, so you can keep track of your financial fortunes without having to worry about logging in.

The new update button appears on the most recent report obtained from each of the 3 credit reference agencies, so you can choose to update each report on different dates if you wish.
