Win £2,500 towards your bills this New Year

We know that the start of the New Year can be an expensive time. Between festive spending and getting back on your feet in January, those bills can start to pile up.

That’s why we’re giving you four chances to win £2,500 this winter. Whether it’s rent, your mortgage, or a credit card balance, we’ll help lighten the load to make the start of the year a more comfortable one.

Clear the decks for 2026

Each week in January, we’ll be giving away £2,500 to one lucky winner. Entries are weekly, as follows:

Here’s how it works:

• Each week in January, one winner will receive £2,500 towards their bills

  (whether that’s their rent, mortgage payment, or a credit card balance).

• There are four separate weekly draws (one prize per week):

  • Week 1: 4 - 10 January (winner will be selected at random on 14 January).

  • Week 2: 11 - 17 January (winner will be selected at random on 21 January).

  • Week 3: 18 - 24 January (winner will be selected at random on 28 January).

  • Week 4: 25 - 31 January (winner will be selected at random on 4 February).

• Once logged in to your Checkmyfile account, select the ‘opt in’ button before updating your report to be entered into the draw.

• Every time you update your Checkmyfile credit report during the specified periods, you’ll earn one entry into that week’s draw. Entries won’t roll over – so be sure to update your report weekly to qualify for the current draw.

• The more times you update your report during the entry periods, the more chances you’ll have to win.

• Winners will be contacted by our customer care team and given seven days to accept. If we don’t hear back within this time, we’ll select another winner at random.

• Prizes will be delivered via bank transfer within 30 days of each winner confirming their details.

Who can take part

The prize draw is open to all customers based in the UK who are aged 18 or over.

Checkmyfile employees and their immediate family members, aren’t eligible to enter. Each entrant can only win once during the New Year Prize Draw period.

How are the winners chosen?

We’ll select the winners at random from the customers who have updated their credit report and opted in during the entry periods. We’ll then get in touch via email to let them know that they’ve won, and confirm the information we need to pay their prize money.

You’ll only be updated about the competition if you’ve opted in to the New Year Prize Draw you can opt out at any time by emailing us.

It’s simple – just keep your Checkmyfile credit report up to date. Every time you update your report within the entry periods, you’ll automatically be entered into the relevant draw.

There’s no extra form to fill out and no additional purchase necessary. The more often you check your report, the more entries you’ll have.
