Insolvency should be showing as discharged but isn’t

If you’ve completed your insolvency but it’s still showing as active on your credit report, this is simple enough to fix. We just need to send a copy of your completion paperwork to the credit reference agencies and ask them to update your credit report.

All you need to do is email a copy of your paperwork to help@checkmyfile.com and let us know that your insolvency is showing as active when it shouldn’t. We’ll then get in touch with Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion to do the rest.

You can normally expect the dispute to be sorted within 28 days, and you’ll be able to check that the details are correct on an updated Checkmyfile report.

It will stay on your report for the full six years, even if it’s been discharged. Full details of the insolvency, including when it’s due to be removed, can be found in the Court Information section of your credit report.
