Unlike other lenders, banks weren't required to share their customer information with the credit reference agencies in the past.

However, more and more banks have started sharing data, as it helps themselves and other lenders with their decision making.

Even so, some banks still don’t, which may be why your bank account isn’t showing on your report.

You can of course ask your bank to start sending your payment history to the agencies, but it’s up to them whether they will.

Why does the balance on my account show as £0?

The balance will show as £0 where no borrowing is in place. Therefore, you’ll likely only see balances where an overdraft or credit is being used, or to reflect an energy bill for example.

Why is my savings account not on my report?

Any form of savings does not relate to credit and therefore has no relevance to your credit report. It is normal not to see a savings account on your report as your ability to save has no bearing on your creditworthiness.
