Why is there a suppressed account on my credit report?
If the data held by the credit reference agency is different from your personal information, the account details will be suppressed on your credit report.
Before we can show the information, we’ll normally need you to confirm the following details associated with the account:
Date of birth.
Current balance.
Credit limit.
Account payment history (including any late payments and defaults).
If we’re confident that the account is yours, we’ll be able to display the information on your report. If you don’t recognise the account, we can take this up with the agency on your behalf. They’ll then speak to the lender to check if it’s a valid entry. If there’s no connection between you and the account, the lender should remove the entry from your credit report. This usually takes 28 days.
