Having a Victim of Impersonation on your credit report means one of two things: either a lender has filed it with Cifas because they’ve received an application they believe is fraudulent, or you’ve reported fraud to that lender.  You can expect it to stay on your report for 13 months. But if you want to try and remove it, it’s best to speak with the lender who filed it to see if they can.

The good news is it has no impact on your credit score. It'll actually help protect you from identity fraud attempts and lenders will take extra steps to verify you if they receive an application in your details.
