Growing your credit score isn’t easy. So, to celebrate your journey to better credit health, we’ll award you with achievements each step of the way.

If you’re consistent with your activity and develop the habits to push your number in the right direction, you’ll unlock some shiny coins. They’ll keep you focused from your first step, while you’re on a streak, and even when you’re at the peak of your credit health.

How do I earn achievements?

Unsure of what you need to do to unlock the next coin? Here’s the inside scoop on how to get that piggy bank filled.

First things first, collecting your coins can take as long as it takes to grow your score. It’s very much a marathon (not a sprint), as the coins are more reflective of milestones along your credit journey rather than quick wins. Here’s what you’re aiming for:

All signed up’ – You’ve created an account with Checkmyfile and taken the first step to improving your credit health.

Keys to the kingdom’ – You have a mortgage on your credit report. It’ll show until six years from the point of closure.

You’re on a streak’ – You’re on top of your accounts and have six straight months of clean payments reflected on your report.

All credit to you’ – Shows you’re using your credit responsibly and have paid on time for six months straight.

Score starts with’ – There are five of these coins to collect for each time your score breaks through a 100-point milestone, starting with 500.

Roll on, roll on’ – This means you’re registered on the Electoral Roll with all three credit reference agencies: a big tick in the box for better credit health.

Checkmate’ – You’re credit report royalty, having checked in for at least six months in a row.

Can I lose an achievement once I’ve earned one?

We understand that priorities and circumstances surrounding your credit health can change.

So, it’s possible for a coin to be revoked after you’ve unlocked it. But don’t worry – we’ll still be here to help you develop habits to improve your credit health if it’s not where you’d like it to be.

Do achievements affect my credit score?

Checkmyfile achievements have no impact on your credit score. They’re just our way of celebrating your wins on the journey to better credit health.
