How long do account updates take?

If you were expecting a change that isn’t showing, it’s probably because the lender hasn’t sent the update to the credit reference agencies yet. This is quite common.  

Lenders normally update the agencies once a month, so it’s not unusual for it to take 4-6 weeks for new information to show on your report. Depending on the time of the month that the lender sends the update, it could take anywhere from one day to two months at the extreme.  

You can see when your lenders last updated each of the agencies by clicking ‘View’ on your accounts and looking at the ‘Account Details’ tab.
