National Debtline
A free, confidential, and independent debt advice service in the UK, run by the Money Advice Trust. They offer free debt advice, self-help resources, practical solutions, and empowerment to speak directly to creditors – and they’re regulated and free to use.
Money Advice Trust
A UK-based national charity focused on helping people tackle their debt and manage money confidently. They offer free debt advice, a training programme for debt advisors, and they campaign for bailiff reforms and better debt collection practices.
Gamble Aware
Focuses on reducing gambling-related harm. They provide resources to help people understand gambling risks, run awareness campaigns to prevent gambling-related harm before it starts, and they fund the National Gambling Helpline which provides free treatment services for anyone affected by gambling (both directly and indirectly).
StepChange Debt Charity
One of the UK’s leading debt advice organisations. They give free, confidential debt advice, debt solutions, budgeting and financial planning, online and phone support, and campaign to influence policy and improve systems that affect people in debt.
Citizens Advice Bureau (CAB)
A UK charity that provides free, confidential, and impartial advice to help people resolve a wide range of problems. They can give debt and money advice, benefits and welfare support, housing and employment guidance, advice on family law, immigration, and consumer protection, and online, phone, and in-person support. Their goal is to empower individuals to make informed decisions and improve their circumstances, especially during times of financial or personal crisis.
